Live the farm life in John Deere: Drive Green
John Deere: Drive Green is a farming and driving simulator that features vehicles from America's leading tractor brand. You play as a farmer (with John Deere baseball cap of course) getting various jobs done around your farm with the aid of a range of John Deere farm equipment. You can switch between different perspectives including behind-the-wheel third-person and a handy camera that helps you line up your tractor when you're hitching up other equipment.
It's easy being green
With its simple control system and interface (including buttons and indicators based on the dashboard of a John Deere vehicle) John Deere: Drive Green is easy to play especially once you have the driving controls down. The game guides you clearly to where you need to go and the commands are simple. The farm environment is attractively and cleanly rendered it isn't exactly realistic but it's clear where everything is and it's easy to see (for instance) whether you've turned an area of soil or not. A mini-map keeps you oriented and simple reminders pop up occasionally to tell you what you're supposed to be doing.
Every bit as exciting as real tractor driving
If you love John Deere tractors and like the idea of being a farmer John Deere: Drive Green is definitely worth a try. It's not exactly thrill-packed but it features realistic models and an attractive farm environment.
